New Executive Officer

Gavin Cator commences his role as Executive Officer for AMCA on 1 July 2023. His extensive background leading local governments over many years stands him in good stead to provide support and direction for the Alliance.

Gavin served as CEO of local governments in Victoria and New South Wales including Greater Shepparton, Wodonga, Moira and Berrigan. He has also been a community leader and a leader of his peers in the local government sector at a state level.

He replaces Gary Stevenson PSM who has been AMCA’s Executive Officer for the past two years. Mr Stevenson will continue to serve local governments with his consulting business Stevenson Consulting.
